I get asked about my cousin. Constantly. "Are you Bali Hai?" No. I am Bali Isle. We are related in the way that an island is related to the horizon — similar latitude, completely different experience. Bali Hai is the one you see from the beach and can't quite reach. I am the one you're already standing on.

Where Bali Hai gives you a bold ikat and a twenty-two-inch drama, I give you something quieter and, I would argue, harder to do well: a print that fills a room without raising its voice. Camel II on Tint — two neutrals in conversation, warm over warm, the color of afternoon light on old linen or the inside of a manila envelope that contains very good news.
