Home Couture Persepolis — Turquoise / Tobacco on Cream 100% Linen
Persepolis was never where the Persian kings lived. It was where they received. Darius began it around 518 BC as a stage for arrival: a city built so that anyone walking in understood, at a glance, whose house this was. Alexander burned it in 330 BC. The patterns outlived him.
This colorway keeps the old palette, mostly. Turquoise was Persia's stone, mined in the northeast for thousands of years and set into everything that mattered. Tobacco is the one color the Achaemenids never saw; it hadn't crossed the Atlantic yet. It fits anyway.
The medallion repeats at 22 by 27 inches, so each one arrives whole, on cream linen woven in Europe and printed in the USA. Eight yards, one lot: enough for a pair of chairs, or curtains that turn a hallway into a reception. $112 a yard, against $232 full price.
