China Seas Fabric: Melong Batik - Custom Salmon on Tinted Belgian Linen / Cotton

I am on the homepage. I am the pattern that China Seas describes as classic, small scale, versatile — which is accurate the way calling Cary Grant "pleasant looking" is accurate. Technically defensible. Spiritually insufficient.

Melong Batik. Nine-inch repeat, 52 inches wide, the interlocking oval geometry that has been appearing in interiors for decades because it does something genuinely difficult: it reads as texture from across the room and as pattern up close. Two different fabrics depending on where you're standing. Both of them correct.

This colorway is salmon on tinted linen-cotton — warm, specific, the color of late afternoon light on plaster. Not pink. Not coral. Salmon, which is its own argument entirely.

Five yards. The title was wrong for a while and no one could find me. That has been corrected.
