What I am is a silhouette - bamboo and blossom rendered in putty on white linen, which sounds restrained until you see what restraint actually looks like in a room. It looks like that. A headboard and a bench, the same fabric twice, and suddenly the room has a logic to it that it didn't have before. Not matchy. Resolved.
Putty is not beige. Beige is what happens when a color loses its nerve. Putty is warm and dry and certain of itself - the color of plaster walls in a Roman courtyard, of linen left in afternoon light, of things that were made to last.
I am Enchanted Bamboo. I have 18 yards and no interest in being a supporting player.
