The name came from somewhere between homage and happenstance - perhaps something of its "screen presence" in the pattern's refusal to be decorative background. This is the scaled-down, reversed version of China Seas' signature abstract floral, rendered in custom red on white Belgian linen-cotton: a 13-inch repeat of radial geometry that reads both as folk art medallion and modernist abstraction. The motifs have the precision of Pennsylvania Dutch hex signs and the graphic punch of mid-century Scandinavian textiles, each starburst locked into its grid with the kind of discipline that makes the organic elements within each bloom register as deliberate choice rather than accident. Handprinted in the USA on linen / cotton ground woven in Belgium, because even outlet pricing preserves the whole complicated supply chain that makes fabric like this possible.

Eleven yards. At 54 inches wide, that's enough for a bold upholstered headboard (4-5 yards), a pair of throw pillows (2 yards), and curtain panels that make the room belong to the pattern rather than the other way around. This red won't fade into the wall - it's meant to be the thing you see when you open the door, the visual anchor that everything else in the room negotiates with. This is a CUSTOM color - it will NOT match the Standard Quadrille or China Seas color with the same name.  Designers may choose any names they like for custom colors.
