A geometry that refuses to sit still. Melinda's interlocking maze of angles creates the optical illusion of depth and movement on a flat plane - the eye keeps trying to find the pattern's endpoint and keeps being pulled deeper in. It's the visual equivalent of a conversation you can't walk away from.

The design walks a precise line between mid-century graphic boldness and something more ancient - there's an echo of Greek key, of Aztec textile, of Art Deco ironwork. It doesn't belong to any single era, which is why it refuses to date.

If the Black on Tint is Miranda Priestly, the Black on White is the version of her that existed before she learned to delegate. No warmth. No softening. No cream to mediate the conversation between figure and ground.

This is Melinda at its most unsparing - the contrast dialed to absolute zero, the geometry rendered in pure binary. It doesn't ask if you're ready. It assumes you are.

Where the tinted ground whispers "I could work in a bedroom," the white ground says "I will be in the foyer and you will rise to meet me."

One yard is enough to upholster a single chair that will run the room. Which is, frankly, all it needs.
