Alan Campbell Fabric: Melinda - Custom New Shrimp on Tinted Belgian Linen / Cotton
A geometry that refuses to sit still. Melinda's interlocking maze of angles creates the optical illusion of depth and movement on a flat plane - the eye keeps trying to find the pattern's endpoint and keeps being pulled deeper in. It's the visual equivalent of a conversation you can't walk away from.
The design walks a precise line between mid-century graphic boldness and something more ancient - there's an echo of Greek key, of Aztec textile, of Art Deco ironwork. It doesn't belong to any single era, which is why it refuses to date.

No one expected Melinda in terracotta. And yet - here she is, suddenly Mediterranean, suddenly warm, suddenly the person at the dinner party who turns out to have the best stories.
New Shrimp on Tint takes the same uncompromising geometry and asks: what if it laughed? The warm coral-red on cream ground gives the pattern an earthiness that plays beautifully with rattan, with natural wood, with rooms that get actual sunlight and aren't embarrassed about it.
