Alan Campbell Fabric: Deauville - Custom Jungle Green on Tinted Belgian Linen / Cotton

I am named for a town that invented the concept of effortless.

Deauville — where Coco Chanel opened her second boutique in 1913 and decided that comfort could be glamorous, that a geometric print on linen could belong at the races as easily as it belonged on a terrace. She was right. She usually was.

Jungle green on tinted linen-cotton, 48 inches wide, a 27-inch repeat of zig zags and diamonds and dots that has no interest in being subtle and every interest in being outside. Or inside. The rooms in the photos have not been able to agree, which is exactly the point.

Alan Campbell drew me for people who know the difference between a pattern that decorates a room and a pattern that is the room.
