Same four hundred Saint-Jeans, different hour of the day. If the French Blue is shutters at noon, the Turquoise is the swimming pool at four — the triangles stop looking like pennants and start looking like the pattern light makes on the bottom of something filled with water. It is the same hand-drawn geometry, the same deliberate imperfection, but turquoise does something blue cannot: it moves. It shifts between green and blue depending on what you put next to it, which is either a decorator’s nightmare or a decorator’s secret weapon, and there is no middle ground. Alan Campbell printed it on the same tinted Belgian linen-cotton because he understood that turquoise against pure white is a fight, but turquoise against cream is a conversation.

Six yards at outlet price, 47.5” wide with a 37 7/8” repeat on 55/45 linen-cotton woven in Belgium and handprinted in the USA. Less yardage than its French Blue sibling, so think pillows, a Roman shade, a bench at the foot of a bed — the pieces that make a room stop being decorated and start being yours.
