Turtle Green on Tint
Same pattern, different nerve. Where the magenta hits you at the door, the green version lets you sit down first. Turtle Batik on this custom turtle green ground pulls the same oversized florals — the same oranges and pinks and sprawling leaves — but sets them against a color that the eye reads as earth rather than exclamation point. It's the difference between a garden party and a greenhouse: everything is still blooming, but the temperature drops ten degrees.
Fifty-five yards here, same Mandarin Oyster linen-cotton, same hand screen-printing, same fifty-five-inch width. Green grounds are the workhorse colorway in large-scale prints because they anchor a room without retreating from it. This one plays particularly well with rattan, with natural linen, with all the pale woods — the room photos tell that story better than I can.
