I am called Zen, which is either the most aspirational name in the Quadrille archive or the most ironic, depending on your tolerance for contradiction.
Look at me. I am a series of vertical marks that can’t quite decide whether they’re bamboo, brushstrokes, or a seismograph reading from a moderately interesting earthquake.

There is nothing meditative about me. I am restless. I am the pattern equivalent of someone who says “I’m very chill” while reorganizing your spice rack alphabetically. Nine yards of me on white Belgian linen, and every yard is doing something — not sitting cross-legged on a mountaintop contemplating the void, but striding through it with opinions. Put me in a room that needs energy pretending to be calm. That’s what I do best.
