You're looking at television history printed on acrylic.
In the mid-1980s, when Kate McArdle and Allie Lowell were figuring out single motherhood in a Greenwich Village brownstone, the set decorator needed something for the background. Something graphic. Something confident. Something that said "these women have taste and opinions and aren't asking permission."
They chose Jaybee. Drawn by Alan Campbell himself. Lines, dots, zig zags - a pattern that doesn't apologize.
The show ran for six seasons. Won three Emmys. And somewhere in the frames, if you look closely, there it is. This fabric. Doing its job. Being effortlessly correct.
Now it's Suncloth - 100% acrylic, outdoor-ready, handprinted in the USA on ground woven in the USA. The same graphic punch, the same unapologetic geometry, but ready for your poolside, your porch, your sunroom that gets the brutal afternoon light.
Forty years later, still arriving at the party first.
