AGA has been at this since roughly 700 BC. The Greeks called it the meander — named for a river in what is now Turkey that could not decide where it was going and took a very long time getting there. They put it on everything: pottery, temples, the borders of important friezes. It implied eternity without having to say so directly.
This version is handprinted acrylic ground woven in the USA, which makes it chlorine-resistant and sunfast. Eternity, it turns out, also needs to survive a pool party.
52 inches wide. 4½ inch repeat. The labyrinth has excellent scale.
