Quadrille Fabric: Borghese - Custom Camels on Cream / Ecru 100% Linen

I am named for a villa in Rome where Bernini came to work and Caravaggio came to be controversial and everyone agreed that more was more until it became something else entirely: inevitable.

I am a damask. Not the wallpaper kind that apologizes for taking up space - the kind with a 30½ inch vertical repeat on 100% linen, 52 inches wide, camels on ecru, handprinted in America. The scrolling acanthus and the baroque medallion and the layered ground that reads differently in morning light than in lamplight.

Four yards of something that was designed for rooms with good bones and high ceilings and owners who understood that restraint is a choice, not a default.

The Villa Borghese is still standing. So am I.
