Quadrille Fabric: Regency Ropes - Custom Multi Greys on Cream Suncloth (OUTDOOR)

Zajac & Callahan were doing in the 1960s what everyone else claims to have just discovered: bold graphic pattern at architectural scale, deployed with enough nerve to cover an entire room and make it feel inevitable rather than overwhelming. That bedroom photograph — the ropes running floor to ceiling as drapes and canopy, paired against a disciplined stripe, with a Biedermeier chest and Greek key mirror holding the center — could run in any shelter magazine tomorrow without a single editorial apology. The design is a twisted rope motif in vertical repeat, the kind of thing that reads as classical from a distance and almost op-art up close, and it has not aged a day because it was never chasing a trend to begin with.

This is that same Zajac design recolored in custom multi greys on cream and printed on Quadrille's Suncloth — a hundred-percent acrylic ground built to handle sun and weather without surrendering the hand-printed character. Grey on cream is the most versatile version of this pattern you're likely to find: it carries all the graphic authority of the original dark colorways but sits quietly enough to work on a covered porch, poolside banquette, or any indoor room where you want the geometry without the volume turned all the way up. Fifty-two inches wide, thirty-two-inch vertical repeat, hand screen-printed in the USA on American-woven ground. The sixties room knew what it was doing. This fabric still does.

Suncloth is a sturdier, synthetic fabric designed to withstand exposure to sunlight and water and for use in a more rugged setting.  However extended exposure to the elements may cause fading.
