China Seas Fabric: Parquetry - Custom Blue / Turquoise on White Belgian Linen / Cotton

I am named for a woodworking technique that has been making floors worthy of palaces since the seventeenth century. Parquetry — geometric inlay, interlocking angles, the art of making something flat look infinite.

Someone at China Seas looked at that tradition and printed it on linen.

Blue and turquoise on white Belgian ground, 52 inches wide, nine-inch repeat — small enough to read as texture in a large room, specific enough to stop anyone who gets close. The woodgrain detail is not decorative. It is the memory of the wood the pattern came from, translated into handprinted linen-cotton and given a new life on walls and cushions and curtains that have never once been mistaken for floors.

Four yards. Which is either a constraint or an instruction, depending on how you look at it.
