Quadrille Fabric: Tucson - Jungle Green on Tinted Belgian Linen / Cotton

The name says desert. The technique says Central Asia. The color says neither.

Jungle green on tinted linen-cotton - not the green of cacti and dry arroyos, but the green of somewhere considerably wetter, somewhere where the vegetation has opinions. Quadrille named me Tucson and then printed me in a color that has never once appeared in the Sonoran Desert, and I have decided this is a feature rather than a problem.

Ikat means the pattern lives in the yarn before the weaving begins - the blurred edges, the slight imprecision that is actually extreme precision pretending to be casual. Twelve-inch repeat, 52 inches wide, handprinted in America on Belgian linen-cotton.

The rooms in the photos chose pink and coral to put beside me. They were right to be bold. I respond well to confidence.

Thirteen yards. The desert can wait.
