Nobody at this company can fully explain why this pattern is called Fez in New Shrimp, and we’ve been printing it since [whenever]. The Fez part we can defend — the geometry has that Moorish lattice logic, the kind of pattern that organizes a room without shouting at it. The shrimp is a coral-pink with more warmth than sugar in it, and “New” means there was once an Old Shrimp, a colorway that came before, revised by people with strong opinions who are no longer here to defend either shrimp. This is what 57 years of hand printing actually produces: beautiful cloth and completely unaccountable paperwork. The pattern is first quality. The name is original condition. Both are sold as is.
