China Seas Flora II — Custom Turquoise / Yellow / Green / Blue on White Belgian Linen/Cotton

Some custom colorways whisper. This one arrived playing the horn section. Flora II is China Seas at its most exuberant — great round blooms with sunburst petals and dotted indigo hearts, scrolling vines and leaves in shell pink, every element outlined in marigold like stained glass at a garden party — and some client, somewhere back in the lot books, ordered the whole festival on a ground of pure turquoise. One run. Never a catalog color. Three yards left in existence, and the archive itself did a double-take when they came off the shelf.

Three yards is not a compromise; it’s a casting decision. This is exactly enough for the one object every room secretly wants: the important chair, the ottoman that refuses to apologize, a pair of oversized pillows on a quiet sofa, the bench at the foot of the bed that gets photographed more than the bed. Patterns like this were never meant to cover a room — they were meant to detonate in one corner of it while everything else keeps a straight face.

And about that straight face: eleven yards of Melong Batik Reverse in custom turquoise landed on this same shelf this same week — the quiet interlocking-rings geometry to this pattern’s full garden. We’ll be honest, because it’s house policy and because these are two different custom lots from two different moments: we do not promise the turquoises match, and we don’t send cuttings to find out. But any decorator worth their tape measure knows the secret — kin beats clone. Fields and flourishes aren’t supposed to match; they’re supposed to talk. Eleven yards of the geometry on the walls or the curtains, three yards of the garden on the chair, and you have a room that looks like it was assembled over a lifetime by someone with nerve. Which, as of this listing, could be you.

$98 from $248. Three yards. The horn section doesn’t wait.
