I have been here the entire time. While other fabrics were being discovered and described and celebrated, I was filed under the wrong name, invisible to every search, present in the inventory but absent from the conversation. This is, I assure you, not a condition I accepted gracefully.

Five yards of custom Rose and Brown chinoiserie toile on Belgian linen-cotton, with figures and architecture and narrative detail that rewards the kind of looking most people have forgotten how to do. I am not a background fabric. I am not a coordinate. I am a complete world rendered in rose and brown - pavilions and figures and flowering branches telling stories that predate the internet by several centuries, stories that do not require a search engine to be found by the right person.

That person is looking for me right now. They just couldn't find me until today.
