Quadrille Fabric: Volpi - Custom French Blue on White 100% Linen

Volpi is the pattern nobody talks about and everybody orders. In a catalog full of statement prints — the oversized botanicals, the dramatic geometrics, the tree-of-life designs that take over a room — Volpi does something more difficult: it makes everything else work. The repeat is two and a half inches. That's smaller than a business card. At that scale, the motif dissolves into texture from any distance beyond arm's length, which means it coordinates with virtually anything you put next to it without competing. This is the fabric that goes on the trim pillow, the inside of the canopy, the back of the chair that faces the sofa in the big print. Every designer who works with Quadrille knows this pattern, even if they never mention it by name.

Custom French Blue on white Belgian linen — and the listing says custom because it is: this is not the standard Quadrille French Blue, so if you're trying to match existing Volpi in another room, call first. What it is is a clear, warm blue on a pure white ground, hand screen-printed in the USA on Belgian-woven linen-cotton, fifty-two inches wide. Eight yards. That's enough for a pair of Roman shades, a set of dining chair seats, or exactly the accent pieces that quietly hold a bigger scheme together. Volpi doesn't ask for credit. It just does the work.

This is a CUSTOM French Blue so will NOT match the standard Quadrille color.  Designers may choose any name they like for custom colors.
